350Z Air Intakes & Filter Upgrades

Air Filter Upgrades or Cold Air Intake systems are popular first modifications for the Nissan 350Z. K&N Filters makes a drop-in filter to work in the stock airbox that is a simple, inexpensive modification. The next step up from the filter upgrade is to replace the stock airbox assembly with a free-breathing, cold air intake system. The open, conical filters with smooth, free-flowing tubing will free up more horsepower for your Nissan 350Z and improve performance and throttle response. Some air intake systems will add up to 10 horsepower to your 350Z.
The 2003 to 2006 Nissan 350Z use the 3.5L V6 engine with a single inlet plenum. Starting in the 2007 model year, Nissan changed the 350Z intake plenum to a dual inlet style. This change requires that you order parts for the correct model year as they do not interchange. Remember that if you want to order a filter upgrade, the 2007 and 2008 350Z will require 2 filters as there are 2 stock airboxes used. 2003 to 2006 use only one airbox, thus requiring only one filter. For cold air systems, 2007 and later 350z systems will come with 2 tubes and 2
filters (like the K&N 69-7071TS), so you only order 1 kit. |
