Focus Shifters and Interior

A note about Focus shifters.

On Focus with the Zetec engine and the MTX-75, 5-speed manual transaxle, there are 2 different shifters used. The early style is used in 2000, 2001 model years, and 2002 model year built before April 2002.

After the April 2002 build date, Ford used what is referred to as a Bottom Pivot Shifter. This shifter is used in the Focus with either the Zetec or Duratec engines and the 5 speed transaxle.

Focus with the SPI engine use a IB5 manual transaxle, they require yet another shifter.

The SVT Focus uses a 6 speed Gertrag transaxle, which requires a shifter specific to this application.
