Nissan 350Z
|
The Nissan 350Z sports coupe was introduced for the 2003 model year. This 2-door 2-passenger sports car is equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that can deliver a powerful 306 horsepower. Some earlier versions of the award-winning VQ35 engine deliver 287 or 300 horsepower.
The 350Z is the fifth generation of Nissans Z-car line of sports cars and frankly, the best equipped. Whether you have a two-seat coupe or a convertible soft-top roadster, the Nissan 350Z is your ticket to exceptional power and performance. The designation assigned to this fifth generation Z-car is Z33. It draws upon the significant family heritage established by the 240Z, long hood, short deck, fastback design. Back in the Datsun days (are you old enough to remember when they were called Datsun?), the 240Z and the following Z-cars (260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 300ZX and all the derivatives) brought affordable, Sports GT cars to a whole new market segment.
The 350Z has all the right stuff, significant level of horsepower to weight for spirited performance, a 6 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, great handling, and unmistakable good looks. Offered in up to 5 different levels, moving up the list does not involve loading down the Z-car with more luxury options (although well equipped, more options are available) it involves moving up the performance ladder. With models like Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, Track, Grand Touring, and the holy grail for Nissan enthusiasts, NISMO, all available above the base model, you can tell that Nissan had the true sports car enthusiast in mind. (not all of the above models were available in all model years).
